About Me

I'm excited to introduce myself, my name Marie & I am the creative force behind this website, company & the sole trader of Dragonfly Decorators and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my story with you.
With an education background in Art & Design I have always been involved in creative & artistic pursuits both personally & professionally. Whether its drawing, painting or craft I find pure joy in expressing myself through my creations so I am very excited to have my own platform where I can share some of my creations.
I'm a goal-driven individual who loves to dream big & work hard to make those dreams a reality. When faced with a challenge, I'm always focused on finding solutions & getting things done.
Overall, I'm someone who values creativity, positivity, hard work & I'm excited to bring that energy to everything I do

About The Business
In 2015 after deciding a career change was needed I literally had a dream about my now business, I saw the logo, colour theme & the name DRAGONFLY DECORATORS!!
Why Dragonfly? I had a personal affinity with this beautiful majestic creature it was destined to be a major part of my business journey.
There are a variety of meanings & symbolisms associated with the Dragonfly here are just a few that I love & yet another reason Dragonfly is at the core of my business & so much more than just an image:-
Hope, Change, Growth, Transformation, Adaptability & Self Realisation
Having a history of involvement within the construction industry I decided to start my own Decorating Company, with a step ladder, a brush, a rather large to do list & a lot of determination in the winter of 2015 DRAGONFLY DECORATORS was born.
What came next was purely an accident, during one of my many creative moments. One evening whilst messing around on one of my many editing apps I accidentally reversed my original dragonfly motif & created DD. I used this logo for my advertising & after several years of business success & growth I decided to build my brand & registered DD as a trademark <<<<<< Link in buttons >>>>>>
#PAINTQUEEN was born during another creative moment on a newly discovered artistic app.
Being a female in a heavily male dominated industry I wanted to develop something that would be able to represent, celebrate & empower females in painting & decorating whether that be professional painters or DIY heroins.
